hi dev, i wanna share about pricing policy in trading on game.. many user complain about unstable price of any items (especialy for exclusive job items; like broadleaf, silicon, pipe steel, etc)
example (in NancyCity Server) :

1 stack of broadleaf (20pcs) is only 980 goldbar

1 stack of silicon is only 2000 goldbar

pipe steel is 535 goldbar/pcs

this is exclusive items, which is can give opportunity to earnings goldbar if the pricing system is default set by system, not by player so we can get the stable prices.. maybe its can be suggestion for trading systems.. thank you

Pricing depends on how many people are selling the item. If many people are selling the same item then they'll have competition and will try to sell lower than the other so if sells faster. There are more loggers and gun makers than miners, hence the pricing.

I like the market the way it is. The system is based on supply and demand which caters for the evolving community and their items produced along with events that may give specific items. It simulates real-life stocks and finances.

i know that but is be better when the price is set default by systems so no any players can selling item with lower price.. i think is unfair if only exclusive item of gather job which have a lower price

hmm maybe the lower price is set by system but not in selling above the price which is set by system default. so player only can set a higher price..

example :

silicon price set by system is 450 goldbar, so player only sell with that price or higher price.. not for lower price

The problem I see with this is if there is too much supply and not enough demand, the price would remain the same whereas in a realistic community, if the demand is low and supply is high, the products should be discounted to reduce overstock. So how would the system control the variations of supply and demand? And what if some players don't care about the stock and just wants to get rid of it at drastically reduced prices?
