Is it possible to give items to a friend?

I recommended around 4 or 5 of my friends to play LifeAfter, and they seemed very convinced (nice graphics, gameplay, etc.). I prepared an extra Mondragon Rifle w/ammo box for the 1st one to join with me. How can you actually give them the item? Like is it possible or no?

try to send gift when they are near you. i tried once and i successfully gave a bandage. don't know if what other things you can give.
