PvP guide

Accuracy
Accuracy is most important, this means consistently landing headshots. This will dramatically increase the damage output you are giving and is essential to anything combat related in the first place. Another aspect that plays into accuracy is baiting shots, I will address this later.

Aim Assist or Not?
When at a close range, aim assist is great as it helps deal with some of the recoil of the gun. However at further ranges, aim assist can be bad as it will tend to move towards the centre of the body rather than the head. This can heavily nerf the potential damage you can deal. I recommend that you enable aim assist if you鈥檙e a new player, or a player who鈥檚 intending to use short-medium ranged weapons. If you are an experienced player who primarily plays as a dedicated sniper, then disable the aim assist.

Baiting Shots
To bait shots is to get players to not only shoot at you but also miss. This is mainly done through jumping and running, you can still do this while shooting at another player. You will need to integrate a sequence of random jumping and running movements to throw off your enemies. You gain the greatest advantage in baiting while close to the enemy, this is because they will need to pan their screen more in order to shoot you. Whilst further away, this can just draw unnecessary attention and get you killed quicker as they will not need to adjust their aim as much. Baiting shots are also essential to getting other members of your team to finish the distracted enemies faster.

Chasing
Always be prepared to chase players to commit to the kill. If you don鈥檛 prepare the adequate resources beforehand such as quick-switching to a movement-speed boosting melee weapon or eating Toffee/Cake beforehand, this becomes rather difficult. Likewise, if you wish to run you will also need to prepare to quick-switch to a melee weapon.

Blast Bomb, Smoke Grenades and Molotovs
- Blast Bombs are a great tool to take down enemies, this will deal a lot of damage upon impact and additionally knocking down players for you to attack.
- Smoke Bombs have a very niche use and aren't very great for close ranged PvP as it will waste time for you in a firefight with time which can be dedicated to shooting the other player.
- Molotovs have a niche use as well, they are great for lighting up multiple enemies at once however the damage dealt is relatively little at higher levels and is not recommended for PvP beyond Manor Level 6.
- Beast Traps are sort of the Troll tool, they don't deal a lot of damage but like the Blast Bomb, they will temporarily CC the enemy upon landing on it. It is great to use for holding capture points.
