This is an idea I had which will never be implemented, but I have a fantasy of a similar mode being implemented into Lifeafter. It's kind of like Camp Drills, but with a much darker atmosphere.

Backstory: There is a fifteen-story building somewhere in the west, which used to be a luxurious tower built by the government. They'd offered residence to the rich and poor alike just as the Infected War escalated, sheltering them from the horrors of the outside world. However, as desperate times continued to escalate, mobs began to swarm the building, demanding entry. The tower was then locked down, disallowing anyone from entering... or exiting.

There was enough food and supplies for people inside to last for a few years, but no matter how much they waited, there was no news from the outside world. Supplies were declining at an alarming rate, and here and there the electricity started weakening or flickering out. They tried contacting the officials countless times, but never did they hear any response from the silent radio.

Then, one day, people began catching un unknown illness left and right. And before anyone knew, there were massive individuals who were becoming infected. Everyone was in a panic, fleeing, hiding, fighting; but the infected never died. They were all confined in an indestructible tower, unable to break through the titanium walls.

An unknown length of time had passed, and the Federation organized a search/rescue mission in hopes of rescuing any survivors who might still be alive. They call upon every caravan member deemed strong enough to search the lone tower among the dangerous infected lands.

Gameplay: All survivors Manor 7 or above may attempt this rescue operation every week. The rescuers will be rented Night Vision goggles and an unmodified TAVOR, both with optional use. They will also receive some remote-controlled explosive devices and one Fine ammo box.
-It's always nighttime while the mission is being carried out.
-The mission is carried out in teams of 8, either with randoms or up to 4 teammates.
-Using a helicopter and ladder, rescuers will be dropped onto one of several weak balconies (rescuers will have different starting points). They will be required to deploy an explosive device to destroy a wall, allowing them to enter.
-Floors have various destroyed furniture and rooms. Rescuers can pick up bandages, clean cans, almost expired cans, and poisoned skewers while searching. Some parts of the tower will have electricity but most parts won't, which is where the night goggles come in handy.
-If a rescuer discovers a hiding survivor, the survivor will follow the rescuer. If the infected are encountered and the survivor loses all their health, they will become infected as well. Some survivors have barbed wired bats and machetes handy.
-The goal is to lead as many survivors as possible down the tower and out the door, which must be broken through by an explosive device. Then, the survivors must be led all the way to the evacuation helicopter. There are more infected the more you get closer to the bottom. Deploying the bomb attracts many infected as well, so waiting for teammates to arrive, or reuniting with them beforehand to fight them off together, is crucial.
-You can go down using stairs, elevators or holes in the floors. Falling from a height not only damages you but following survivors as well. Elevators may fail when there's too much weight, killing the survivor and the rescuer as well. There may be lots of infected in the stairs.
-If the rescuer gets knocked down, he will be sent back to camp and all following survivors will be left to roam alone.
-You are awarded 800 gold for every survivor you rescue, and 100 gold for every survivor your teammates rescue. There are up to 50 survivors every match, many which may not be found. Up to 5000 gold may be earned per successful operation.
-Staying in the tower for too long will cause more and more infected to appear, which get stronger and stronger. It is advised to leave the tower fast to avoid death and losing rewards. There are also many possible hazards that may occur, such as fires (which make elevators impossible to use without being knocked down, and suffocate rescuers), security protocol lockdowns (walls sliding down from ceilings, making it much harder to progress), and sirens, which wake up all sleeping infected in the tower.

There are some distinctive rooms in the tower, such as:
-Diner, floor 9&2: after defeating the infected inside, can collect some of frozen food from the refrigerator, which will thaw in camp after a successful operation and provide a random food item.
-Medical Emergency room, floors 11, 7 and 4 : after clearing the infected outside, can enter room to get bandages, antiseptic meds and adrenaline injections.
-Ammo room, floor 5 : Can be broken into using explosive device. Contains ammo box, blast bombs and temporary high-level weapon or armor mods.

That just about sums it up. Unrealistic, but this is more like an "it would be cool to have..." kind of thread. Thanks for reading :P
